We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and contribute to the success of our operations. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, order sheets, or electronic scanning equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety protocols. You will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, assist with inventory counts as needed, and operate equipment such as pallet jacks. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding PPE and safe lifting techniques, is paramount. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all team members are expected to participate in ongoing safety training and demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse safety best practices. This position is integral to our supply chain and contributes directly to customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role, possess strong basic math skills, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and the ability to meet picking quotas are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations to fulfill customer orders.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order slips.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE at all times.
- Demonstrate proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Meet or exceed picking performance metrics.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of safe lifting practices and warehouse safety procedures.
