We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our St. Louis, Missouri team. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately documented, inspected, and processed. You will be responsible for managing the receiving dock, verifying shipments against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies, and preparing materials for distribution within the warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload all incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all receiving activities, including quantity, quality, and condition of goods.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received items appropriately for inventory.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure a clean and safe workspace.
- Assist in the proper staging and onward movement of received goods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving or administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Understanding of basic logistics and inventory control principles.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
