Join our vibrant team in sunny San Diego, California, as a Material Handler! This is a crucial role responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout our warehouse facility. Your duties will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment. You will operate various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to manage materials effectively. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety , and all employees are required to follow established protocols and wear the appropriate PPE . This position requires physical stamina, as it involves frequent lifting of items up to 70 pounds, as well as standing, bending, and walking for extended periods. Prior experience operating warehouse machinery and a knowledge of logistics procedures are highly valued. We are looking for dependable and diligent individuals eager to contribute to our operational success. Your role is essential in ensuring that our warehouse runs smoothly and that products are handled with care and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately.
- Transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform regular equipment inspections.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and use necessary PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization.
- Engage in tasks requiring frequent lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to operate common warehouse equipment.
- Physical capacity to handle frequent lifting , bending, and prolonged standing.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and wearing PPE .
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics functions.
