We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory, and assist with order fulfillment. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas.
- Assist with order picking and staging as needed.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including safety shoes, gloves, and eye protection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a certified Forklift Operator is required. Must possess a valid forklift operating license/certification. Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and effectively. Experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is essential for success in this Logistics role. Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs). Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player. A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is crucial.
Working Conditions:
This position operates within a warehouse setting, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures. The role requires the ability to operate machinery for extended periods, as well as periods of standing and walking. We are committed to ensuring a safe workplace by providing comprehensive training and enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols, including mandatory PPE usage.
