Our San Diego facility is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dedicated logistics team. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center. Your expertise in forklift operation contributes directly to our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and retrieve goods as required.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and material placement.
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisors and other team members to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
