Our Detroit, Michigan location is seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our dedicated warehouse team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to Safety, proper equipment operation, and adherence to all company policies are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and procedures.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow proper techniques for Lifting and securing loads.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and logistics.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
