Our Los Angeles, California facility is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement solutions to improve inventory accuracy. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. You will work closely with warehouse associates and management to ensure all inventory movements are accurately recorded and managed. Safety is paramount in our operations, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Manage the put-away and replenishment of stock to ensure optimal warehouse organization.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate transaction recording.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed for inventory management tasks.
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Train and guide warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.
- Identify opportunities to optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions for better logistics flow.
- Must be able to handle occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Prepare regular inventory reports for management.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory movements.
