Our growing logistics company in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator. If you have a proven track record of safe and efficient forklift operation, this is an excellent opportunity for you. You will manage the movement of goods throughout the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is stored, retrieved, and loaded/unloaded accurately and safely. This role demands excellent operational skills, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a dynamic warehouse environment. Responsibilities extend to basic warehouse upkeep and supporting other team members as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets and materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including wearing mandated PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks and stock placement.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Support logistics operations during peak periods.
Qualifications:
- Certified forklift operator with verifiable experience.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Deep understanding of warehouse safety best practices.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a logistics team.
