Join our team in Chicago, Illinois as an Order Picker! We are looking for motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders in our busy distribution center. This role is fundamental to our logistics and e-commerce operations, ensuring timely and correct order fulfillment. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, selecting items from shelves using pick lists or handheld scanners, and preparing them for packing and shipping. Accuracy is key, and a strong attention to detail will be essential. We prioritize safety above all else; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. - Accurately pick items for customer orders using appropriate equipment and systems.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing department.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and use required PPE.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse roles is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting (up to 40 lbs) and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
