We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our busy logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, and distributing various goods. You will play a crucial part in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that operations run smoothly. A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in a dynamic environment are key.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Experience operating forklifts (certification is a plus).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong safety consciousness and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
