We are seeking a diligent and organized Receiving Clerk to join our operations in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and efficient intake of all incoming goods into our warehouse. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received items. A strong focus on Safety, accuracy, and efficient workflow is paramount. You will work closely with vendors, warehouse staff, and management to maintain smooth logistics operations. The ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting, and a commitment to following all Safety procedures, including the use of PPE, are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming materials from trucks and containers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming shipments for any damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items in the inventory management system.
- Tag and label received products as necessary.
- Move received goods to the appropriate staging or storage areas.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies with supervisors and vendors promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or logistics roles preferred.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to maintaining a Safe work environment.
