We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our major logistics facility in Los Angeles, California. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of Safety. Your responsibilities will include managing staff, coordinating workflows, optimizing inventory management, and enforcing all company policies, particularly those related to Safety and the correct use of PPE. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in warehouse management. You will play a pivotal role in training and motivating your team to achieve operational excellence. We are looking for a leader who can foster a positive and productive work environment while ensuring smooth logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
- Plan and assign daily workloads to ensure efficient operations.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, Safety protocols, and the use of equipment.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Implement and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize delays.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven experience with inventory control systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to manage a team effectively and motivate staff.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with various logistics and supply chain processes.
