We are seeking a meticulous and organized Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this crucial role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to our high standards of safety and quality control. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying packing slips against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory management system. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining an orderly and safe receiving area. You will work closely with our inventory and shipping departments to ensure a seamless flow of goods. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse or receiving environment and possess strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming freight from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments by comparing packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming goods for any damages or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label received products as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
- Proper use of required PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
