Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Richmond, Virginia facility. This pivotal role involves managing daily warehouse activities, optimizing workflow, and ensuring efficient logistics. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, and material handlers, to meet operational targets. Key duties include inventory management, scheduling, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles is essential. You will play a crucial part in maintaining a safe and productive work environment, enforcing all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations and staff.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and oversee stock rotation.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment, including proper PPE usage.
  • Train and mentor warehouse personnel on operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Manage receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Implement and improve warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Coordinate with logistics and transportation teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations or coordination.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
