We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Charlotte, North Carolina location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and facilities. This includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning safely and reliably. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and supporting our overall logistics operations. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to implement preventative maintenance schedules and uphold high standards of safety and operational performance. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor belts, pallet jacks).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Work with management to identify areas for improvement in equipment performance and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with technological advancements in warehouse equipment maintenance.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with diagnosing and repairing warehouse equipment.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with general warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to use required PPE.
