Seeking a dedicated Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our distribution center. Your responsibilities will span receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This position demands a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure that all products are handled correctly and that orders are fulfilled promptly. Contributing to our overall logistics success, you will help maintain the integrity of our supply chain and uphold our commitment to customer satisfaction. Your daily efforts directly impact the flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick items according to order lists and prepare them for packing.
- Pack products securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle counting.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with various warehouse tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or similar environment is highly desirable.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including Lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and performing repetitive motions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Adherence to safety standards and willingness to use required PPE.
