Join our bustling logistics operation as a Shipping Clerk in San Antonio, Texas! In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, well-documented, and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, verifying order details against packed items, and coordinating with carriers for pickups. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse setting. You will work closely with the shipping department to manage the flow of goods and maintain an organized shipping area. Understanding of shipping software and carrier requirements is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping labels and documentation.
- Verify contents of outgoing shipments against order manifests.
- Schedule and coordinate carrier pickups.
- Communicate with internal departments and external carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company and carrier regulations.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the logistics team.
- Support proper Lifting techniques and practices to ensure workplace safety.
