This role is integral to our supply chain, ensuring that materials are moved, stored, and tracked efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified), to transport goods within the warehouse. Your duties will also include receiving and inspecting incoming shipments, stocking materials in designated locations, and preparing items for shipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks, dollies) safely.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory.
- Prepare materials for internal and external transport.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times, as required by the task.
- Perform tasks involving significant Lifting of materials, up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
- Proficiency in operating manual and powered material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Understanding of basic inventory management principles.
- Commitment to promoting a safe work environment for all.
- Familiarity with the broader Logistics landscape is a plus.
