We are looking for a skilled and reliable Material Handler to join our high-volume warehouse in New York City, New York. In this role, you will be essential to the efficient flow of goods within our facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring accurate inventory counts. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to maintain organized storage areas and prepare materials for outbound shipments. The ideal candidate is physically capable, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has a strong commitment to safety. Experience with various material handling equipment and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles are required. Safety is our utmost priority; all employees must strictly follow safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE at all times. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and stage materials for production orders or outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated experience.
- Ability to perform demanding physical tasks, including lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent understanding and practice of workplace safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
