We are looking for a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is fundamental to our distribution operations, managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. A strong emphasis on Safety is crucial, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize the necessary PPE. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, efficient, and can thrive in a fast-paced Logistics environment. Your attention to detail ensures that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will work closely with carriers and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
- Verify incoming inventory against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders.
- Stage shipments for carrier pickup and coordinate with logistics providers.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.
- Ensure the dock areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring regular Lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency with computers and basic data entry.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
