Join our bustling distribution center in Boston, Massachusetts as a Picker/Packer. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your duties will include reading order tickets, locating products within the warehouse, assembling orders, and carefully packing them for transit. Accuracy and speed are paramount in this position to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work as part of a dedicated logistics team, contributing to the smooth operation of our fulfillment process. This role demands physical stamina, as it involves considerable standing, walking, and frequent lifting. Adherence to all warehouse safety guidelines and the correct use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is critical. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. Training will be provided, but prior experience in a similar role is beneficial. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
- Accurately pick products based on order details.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Package items securely for shipping.
- Label packages correctly for outgoing shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Communicate any stock issues or discrepancies.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Basic reading and counting skills. Commitment to safety and use of PPE. Fast-paced environment experience is a plus.
