Job Summary:
Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Baltimore, Maryland warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory systems, directly impacting our logistics and supply chain performance. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring robust inventory control procedures to ensure that stock levels are accurate, products are stored correctly, and variances are minimized. Key duties include conducting regular cycle counts, performing detailed investigations into discrepancies, and making necessary adjustments in our inventory management system. You will also assist in optimizing warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval, contribute to receiving and shipping reconciliations, and generate reports on inventory status and accuracy. A strong focus on safety is required, including diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all warehouse safety protocols. This position demands analytical prowess, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to data integrity.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct frequent cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain precise inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system data.
  • Oversee stock rotation to ensure product freshness and minimize obsolescence.
  • Assist with the verification of incoming shipments and outgoing orders.
  • Develop and refine inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Analyze inventory data to forecast needs and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to uphold inventory accuracy.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or degrees are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or supply chain logistics.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and other inventory management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to perform physical checks, which may involve light lifting.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
