Join our team as a Material Handler in sunny Orlando, Florida! This role is fundamental to the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. You'll be responsible for receiving goods, ensuring they are stored correctly, and preparing them for various stages of our logistics pipeline. Accuracy, efficiency, and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Inspect all incoming goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Accurately track inventory movements and update relevant systems.
- Prepare materials for internal use, production, or external shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, adhering to all safety guidelines (certification may be required).
- Conduct routine checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any malfunctions.
- Follow all established Safety protocols, including proper Lifting techniques and hazard identification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate actively in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available.
- Promptly report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating standard material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Commitment to consistently using appropriate PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
