We are seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. You will be responsible for verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, correctly labeling shipments, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. The role requires the ability to perform **lifting** of packages and boxes, and a strong commitment to **safety** in all aspects of your work, including the mandatory use of **PPE**. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to specifications.
- Verify order details against packing slips and shipping documents.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Label shipments correctly with all necessary information for carriers.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping work area.
- Follow all company **safety** protocols and wear designated **PPE** at all times.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Perform **lifting** of packages and materials up to 50 lbs.
- Support the overall **logistics** operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and **lifting**.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier requirements is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** and shipping best practices.
- Commitment to workplace **safety** and proper use of **PPE**.
