We are seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to join our Fort Worth, Texas logistics team. In this role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient preparation and dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Responsibilities include generating shipping labels, preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring all packages are ready for timely pickup. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and Logistics is essential for success in this position. You will play a vital role in our supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Create and verify all shipping labels and documentation for outgoing orders.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with various freight carriers.
- Ensure all shipments are properly packaged, labeled, and staged for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments processed.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management regarding shipping operations.
- Adhere to all company and carrier regulations for shipping.
- Prioritize and manage workload to meet daily shipping deadlines.
- Strictly follow all company Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE .
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar shipping/logistics role.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform tasks that require occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with different shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
