Seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our San Jose, California location. This role is crucial for the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, ensuring packages are properly labeled and staged, and maintaining records of shipments. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and Logistics is essential. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure all shipments meet company and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipping documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Verify shipping information and labels for accuracy.
- Stage outgoing shipments in the designated areas.
- Maintain organized shipping records and files.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Uphold strict adherence to all Safety protocols and utilize required PPE .
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related shipping/logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in shipping software and WMS.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and methods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
