Our New York City, New York facility is looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse. This role is integral to our supply chain, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all shipping and receiving processes. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and preparing outgoing shipments according to customer specifications. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be interacting with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify goods received against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately record all incoming and outgoing inventory using our warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including staging, labeling, and organizing.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean and orderly shipping and receiving area.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
