We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy New York City, New York operation. This role is fundamental to our distribution process, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked and meticulously packed for shipment. Responsibilities include retrieving items from designated locations, inspecting them for quality, and preparing them for transit. A high level of accuracy and efficiency is required to meet delivery timelines. This position operates within a complex Logistics network, and attention to detail is crucial. Our company is dedicated to maintaining a safe workplace; therefore, adherence to all Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. The role involves continuous movement and requires the ability to perform frequent Lifting . Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders from various warehouse locations.
- Inspect products for any damage or defects before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure safe transit.
- Neatly and efficiently pack orders, ensuring all items are included.
- Verify shipping labels and order details for accuracy.
- Maintain an organized and clean packing station.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and operational procedures.
- Utilize and care for provided PPE .
- Support the efficiency of our Logistics department through timely order processing.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is a significant advantage.
- Ability to interpret picking lists and product codes accurately.
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Manual dexterity and proficiency in packing techniques.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability for regular Lifting of items up to 45 pounds.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Understanding of Logistics workflow.
