We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, manage staff, and ensure the efficient flow of inventory and shipments. Your role will be critical in optimizing warehouse productivity, maintaining high standards of Safety , and enforcing company policies. You will be responsible for training and motivating your team, scheduling shifts, and resolving operational issues. This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management and Logistics . A commitment to fostering a safe work environment, including the proper use of PPE , is paramount. The ability to manage diverse tasks and handle occasional demanding physical work, including assisting with Lifting when necessary, is expected. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Ensure efficient receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
- Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures, including Safety guidelines.
- Optimize workflow and space utilization within the warehouse.
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all Safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth Logistics .
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems promptly.
- Assist with physical tasks, including Lifting up to 40 pounds, as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain Safety programs.
- Commitment to ensuring all team members use appropriate PPE .
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage time effectively.
- Experience with inventory control and stock management.
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve Lifting .
