Join our team in Des Moines, Iowa, as an Order Picker! We are searching for meticulous and energetic individuals to contribute to our efficient warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your key duties will involve navigating the warehouse to locate specific items, ensuring order accuracy, and preparing them for the next stage in the logistics process. A keen eye for detail, good physical stamina, and a strong commitment to Safety are essential. You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to our overall productivity and customer satisfaction. We offer comprehensive training and emphasize a safe working environment, requiring the consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Utilize scanning equipment to track inventory and verify order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and consolidation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform regular checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with other warehouse duties such as packing or loading when needed.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed daily picking targets.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status and potential issues.
- Support the overall flow of goods within our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product information.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Awareness of warehouse Safety regulations and best practices.
