We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Des Moines, Iowa. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include operating various types of forklifts to load and unload trucks, transport goods to and from storage areas, and assist with inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including proper forklift operation and the use of PPE, is essential. This position requires individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and possess excellent spatial awareness. You will play a key part in maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. Experience with a forklift certification is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and unstack pallets and materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Proper use of required PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve lifting up to 50 pounds.
