Our growing logistics operation in Huntsville, Alabama, is looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk. This role is essential for managing the intake of all incoming materials and products. You will be responsible for the accurate processing of shipments, ensuring that all received goods meet our quality standards before being integrated into our inventory. Key duties involve unloading delivery vehicles, meticulously checking items against order documents, identifying and reporting any damages or discrepancies, and updating inventory records promptly. A strong commitment to workplace safety, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented and can effectively manage their time in a busy warehouse environment. We value efficiency and accuracy in our logistics processes and expect our Receiving Clerks to be integral to maintaining these standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Accepting and documenting all incoming deliveries.
- Cross-referencing received goods with purchase orders and packing lists.
- Performing visual inspections for damage or shortages.
- Inputting receiving data into the inventory system.
- Preparing goods for storage or further processing.
- Ensuring the receiving area is kept tidy and hazard-free.
- Liaising with vendors and internal teams on shipment discrepancies.
- Following all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Compliance with mandatory PPE requirements.
- Physical capacity for lifting up to 50 pounds.
