Your responsibilities will include verifying shipping orders, coordinating with carriers, generating shipping labels, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role requires a methodical approach and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and shipping procedures. Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify shipping orders for accuracy.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Generate and apply shipping labels to packages.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in maintaining an organized shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/warehouse role.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and follow all safety procedures, including wearing required PPE.
