Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Shipping Clerk for our Austin, Texas distribution center. This position is vital to our **logistics** network, ensuring that all outbound shipments are accurately documented, processed, and dispatched. You will be responsible for coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and maintaining precise shipping records. Responsibilities:
  • Process and prepare all outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify shipping order details against packed goods for accuracy.
  • Generate and affix appropriate shipping labels and documentation (e.g., BOLs).
  • Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate shipping logs and records.
  • Ensure all packages comply with shipping regulations and **safety** standards.
  • Communicate shipping updates and information to relevant internal departments.
  • Utilize shipping software and warehouse management systems (WMS) effectively.
  • Adhere strictly to all company **safety** protocols and wear the necessary **PPE**.
  • Support overall warehouse **logistics** through accurate and timely processing of shipments.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a shipping clerk or similar warehouse administration role.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle tasks requiring occasional **lifting** of up to 30 pounds.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Understanding of **logistics** principles and supply chain processes.
  • Must follow all **safety** guidelines and wear **PPE** as required.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
