We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence within our distribution center. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel and external carriers to manage the flow of goods. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs forms.
- Verify that all shipments are accurately picked, packed, and labeled according to order specifications.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely dispatch.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, after proper training.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding shipment status and any issues.
- Understand and implement company policies regarding logistics and warehouse operations.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ability to perform lifting of packages up to 50 lbs consistently.
