This role is essential for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with all company and carrier regulations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documentation, verifying package contents, coordinating with shipping carriers, and maintaining a well-organized shipping area. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and prior experience in a shipping or warehouse environment. This position requires a commitment to safety, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety procedures within the logistics facility. You'll be a key player in our outbound operations, ensuring our products reach their destinations on time and in perfect condition. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Your responsibilities will include operating shipping equipment, tracking shipments, and communicating with internal departments and external partners. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, including documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of orders and shipping labels.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS).
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales, printers, and pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping dock and workspace.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- Communicate with warehouse staff, customer service, and carriers.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with receiving operations as needed.
- Perform tasks that may involve lifting packages up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of logistics and shipping procedures.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting and stand for prolonged periods.
