Our growing logistics operation in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a diligent Shipping Clerk to manage the efficient dispatch of our products. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately prepared, documented, and sent out on schedule. This involves working collaboratively with our warehouse team, carriers, and other departments to maintain a smooth and efficient shipping process. Key responsibilities include generating shipping labels, preparing bills of lading, verifying shipment contents against orders, and coordinating with freight carriers. Exceptional attention to detail is required to minimize errors and ensure on-time delivery. While the primary focus is on documentation and coordination, there may be instances requiring safe lifting of packages. Compliance with all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is expected. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify all necessary shipping documentation (labels, BOLs, etc.).
- Confirm order accuracy and ensure proper packaging of outgoing goods.
- Track shipments and communicate any delays or issues to relevant parties.
- Schedule pick-ups with various shipping carriers.
- Inspect packages for damage before dispatch.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed, utilizing safe lifting practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any shipping-related problems.
