The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Warehouse Manager and the role involves daily coordination with carriers, warehouses, vendors, and internal teams to ensure shipments run smoothly and customer service expectations are met. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and making sure strict timelines are met while following company procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer purchase orders and coordinate delivery
  • Track movement of inventory within and between warehouses
  • Oversee product storage, handling and distribution
  • Manage replenishment planning among warehouses, ensuring the right quantities at the right location
  • Work on forecasts and inventories, keep an accurate record of the process.
  • Determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for product transportation
  • Maintain supply chain management strategies that increase the efficiency and speed of supply operations and minimize risk
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client and supplier relationships and communicate any issues or concerns that arise
  • Work closely with warehouse staff to coordinate order fulfillment and replenishment
  • Maintain excellent knowledge and understanding of products, policies, and operating procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics and operational processes, systems and product delivery requirements
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures at all times
  • Other duties as required and appropriate for the role.


Job Requirements:

  • Strong planning skills with logical and systematic approach to work
  • Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions
  • Excellent communication with customers that promotes resolutions
  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic, high-pressured environment and to manage changing priorities / tight deadlines.


Qualifications

  • Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions
  • 1-3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation coordination, warehouse activities or any other related field
  • Familiarity with customs procedures and shipping
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Products
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems will be considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of Canadian and international trade regulation
