Full-time, Permanent
Location: North of Montreal, Central Montreal, South Shore
Travel - Spending about 90% of time on the road and going home. No overnight.
Hours: 40 hr. work week + potential overtime
Base salary: $25 - $40/per hour – based on experience

Scope of Position:
This position interfaces with other Service Technicians, Service Area Managers, Regional Service Manager, Parts Manager and Parts Department staff, Service Dispatchers, Service Data Entry staff and various Branch Sales and Service personnel in the resolution of equipment installations, equipment problems, Customer Relations and at times, Service Administration problems.

Key Responsibilities
This position is for a Commercial Appliance Service Technician . Previous experience in residential or commercial appliance repair is considered a strong asset.
The technician will perform field service work involving the adjustment, alignment, assembly, calibration, inspection, lubrication, and testing of commercial kitchen and food preparation equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics
- Perform troubleshooting with minimal supervision
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a client-focused environment
- Strong electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and interacting directly with customers.
Additional Duties
- Assist colleagues with equipment installations and major repairs
- Participate in technical training sessions, including classroom and field-based training
- Support the sales team in securing service contracts and preventative maintenance agreements
- Assist with product demonstrations as required
Qualifications & Skills
- Bilingual French and English (spoken and written)
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills
- 2–3 years of relevant experience (asset)
- Must be able to read schematics & manuals in English
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel to the United States for training purposes
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Well-organized, reliable, self-motivated, and accountable
- Strong customer service orientation
- Able to attend training in Troy and Calgary
