Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Architectural Technologist located in Calgary, AB. The individual in this position will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to create technical, working, architectural, and construction drawings. Daily tasks will include preparing detailed design documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes, and solving design-related technical challenges. The role also involves collaborating on project plans and ensuring designs are executed effectively.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Architectural Technology and familiarity with industry-standard tools
• Expertise in creating and interpreting Technical Drawings and Working Drawings
• Experience with Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in design and drafting
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
• Working knowledge of local building codes and standards
• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or a related field
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) is a strong asset
• SAIT graduate in Architectural technologist
