Director of Field Services

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Director of Field Service . This is a pivotal leadership role with a rapidly growing industrial OEM based in Mississauga, Ontario. The successful candidate will oversee all field service operations and be responsible for building out scalable service frameworks, processes, and technical structures to support aggressive company growth. This advanced facility designs, engineers, and manufactures large-scale industrial equipment and customized systems for clients across multiple sectors. As the organization expands globally, they require a strategic service leader capable of implementing best practices and driving operational excellence.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Lead and develop the field service department (technicians, coordinators, and technical support)Design, implement, and optimize commissioning, installation, maintenance, and service escalation workflows
• Establish and track service KPIs, resource planning, and reporting systems to sustain long-term scalability
• Drive high-level service strategy to improve reliability, response time, customer experience, and lifecycle support
• Manage departmental budgeting, margin optimization, and profitability models
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, project management, and leadership
• Lead customer escalation resolution; support complex, high-impact field issues
• Introduce best practices for safety, training, quality, client communication, and service documentation
• Mentor, coach, and support the growth of field service personnel

Mandatory Requirements:

• 10+ years of progressive leadership within industrial field service operations
• Experience working with complex capital equipment, OEM systems, or engineered-to-order machinery
• Proven success implementing scalable processes and service infrastructure in a growth environment
• Strong business and financial acumen (budget management, service contracts, profitability analysis)
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Compensation:

$140,000 – $160,000 base salary + 20% performance bonus
