Position Overview:


As an Electrical Engineer P.Eng  /Designer , you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within custom HVAC products. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll apply your technical expertise to bring complex systems from concept to reality, ensuring compliance with standards and exceeding customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design and optimize electrical systems, instruments, and controls for HVAC units.


  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production teams on system design and performance requirements.


  • Create technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications using AutoCAD.


  • Conduct power system studies, field surveys, and engineering analysis.


  • Perform detailed calculations and prepare documentation for construction and manufacturing standards.


  • Oversee installation and testing of electrical components to ensure conformance with specifications and safety standards.


  • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for operational or client-reported issues.



  • Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and procurement specifications.


  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.


  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and emerging technologies.


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.


  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.


  • Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or HVAC industries.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience specifically related to HVAC unit design .


  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical drafting standards.


  • Strong communication and organizational skills.


  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.


  • Familiarity with CSA, NEC, and other applicable standards.


  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication or custom manufacturing is an asset.



Work Environment:



  • Based onsite in a clean and safety-driven manufacturing office.


  • Regular interaction with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and quality.


  • Non-remote role with potential for occasional site visits.
