Join our thriving logistics team as a Shipping Clerk in Chicago, Illinois! We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to manage the final stages of our outbound shipments. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are correctly documented, labeled, and dispatched in a timely manner. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, verifying contents against orders, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This position is critical for the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations and plays a key role in customer satisfaction. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outbound orders.
- Verify the accuracy of items being shipped against order details.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and ensure efficient workflow.
- Keep accurate records of all shipments and associated documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external logistics partners.
- Operate shipping equipment as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping and logistics policies.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling packages.
