As our portfolio of projects continues to grow, we are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Manager to take ownership of our financial and administrative operations. This is a key leadership role within a small, high-trust team supporting complex, purpose-driven work across Canada.

What You’ll Do
This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and collaborate with the Four Winds team, including project managers and administration, as well as external consultants to ensure the successful delivery of the below tasks.
Finance & Bookkeeping
- Full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online
- Project-based accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
- Accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, deposits, and reconciliations
- Contractor, consultant, and vendor payments
- Payroll processing, including deductions, ROEs, T4s, and remittances
- CRA remittances (GST/HST, payroll source deductions)
- Month-end reporting including cash flow, AR aging, and project summaries
- Work directly with external accountants on year-end and audits
- Support financial reporting for grants, contracts, and funders
Office & Administration
- Day-to-day office coordination and administration
- Maintain organized digital and financial filing systems
- Support onboarding and HR-administrative tasks
- Maintain contractor, consultant, and compliance files
- Coordinate with project managers for billing and documentation
- Answer and direct inquiries professionally (email and phone)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) set up and maintenance
What You Bring
- 3+ years experience in bookkeeping or accounting (consulting or project-based environments an asset)
- 3+ years experience in office management & administration
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and or Microsoft Excel
- Experience with payroll, CRA remittances, and compliance reporting
- Highly organized, detail-driven, and trusted with confidential information
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations, non-profits, municipalities, or professional services is a strong asset
