1) Personal Injury Law Clerk (Contract Position – Ontario)

Location: Hybrid (Ontario-based) – Must be available to work on-site as required and remotely at times.

Position Type: Contract and/or hourly – Flexible Hours

Practice Area: Personal Injury – Tort & Accident Benefits (SABS)

About the Role:

Bajwa Law Firm P.C. is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Law Clerk on a contract basis to assist with active tort and accident benefit (AB/SABS) files. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Ontario personal injury procedure, can manage files independently, and is comfortable splitting work between on-site and remote settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage SABS and tort claims from intake to settlement.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, undertakings charts, and medical summaries.
  • Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and medical providers.
  • Prepare LAT and Superior Court filing materials.
  • Organize medical documentation and assist in brief preparation for mediations and hearings.
  • Track limitation periods and ensure compliance with court and LAT deadlines.
  • Assist with file settlement documentation and closing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury law (both AB and tort preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure and/or LAT/SABS processes.
  • Proficient with MyCase, Primafact, MS Office, or equivalent legal software.
  • Excellent drafting, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in both on-site and remote settings.

Contract Details:

  • Hybrid work within Ontario – must be available for on-site attendance as required.
  • Hourly or per-file compensation, depending on experience and workload. Hourly starts at $20/hour.
  • Duration and hours negotiable based on firm needs.
2) Real Estate Law Clerk (Contract Position – Ontario)

Location: Hybrid (Ontario-based) – On-site attendance required as needed, plus remote work.

Position Type: Contract / Flexible Hours

Practice Area: Residential & Commercial Real Estate

About the Role:

Bajwa Law Firm P.C. is seeking an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk on a contract basis to assist with residential and light commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Ontario real estate conveyancing, can work independently, and is comfortable managing files in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle purchase, sale, and refinance transactions from start to finish.
  • Prepare and review APS, title searches, requisitions, and closing documents.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and opposing counsel.
  • Use Teraview, Unity, or equivalent platforms to complete registrations.
  • Manage mortgage instructions, payouts, and closing adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with Law Society and lender requirements.
  • Assist with post-closing follow-ups and reporting to clients and lenders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of real estate law clerk experience in Ontario.
  • Proficient with Unity, Teraview, Conveyancer, and MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

3) Immigration Law Clerk (Contract Position – Ontario)

Location: Hybrid (Ontario-based) – Combination of on-site and remote work.

Practice Area: Canadian Immigration (Temporary and Permanent Residency)

About the Role:

Bajwa Law Firm P.C. is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Immigration Law Clerk on a contract basis to assist with client intake, document preparation, and application filing under various IRCC and provincial programs. The ideal candidate must be able to work both on-site and remotely as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review immigration applications (study/work permits, visitor visas, spousal sponsorships, PR, citizenship, etc.).
  • Draft supporting submissions and organize document packages for IRCC and IRB filings.
  • Communicate with clients to collect information and supporting evidence.
  • Track application status and deadlines through the IRCC portal and related systems.
  • Maintain accurate client files and assist in responding to procedural requests.
  • Support counsel in appeal or judicial review preparation (as required).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Canadian immigration law.
  • Strong familiarity with IRCC portals, Express Entry, and spousal/family sponsorship processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and file management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (other languages an asset).
