CNC Laser Operator

Tank Traders® is looking for a hands-on R&D Fabricator with strong CNC laser experience to join our innovative team in La Salle, Manitoba! Our Research & Development Team is driving innovation, with several exciting opportunities on the go, we are rapidly expanding to meet the growing demands of the industry!

If you enjoy precision metalwork and love solving technical challenges, this could be the perfect opportunity. You’ll be working closely with our Research and Development team to help design, fabricate, and refine equipment and prototypes that supports the propane industry. Our team is fabricating in house equipment for our production facilities, while also introducing new products to the market, including our Automated Propane Tank Dispenser!

What We're Looking For:

• CNC Laser Expertise:  Direct experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC laser cutting machines. Ability to interpret technical drawings, select proper materials, and adjust settings for optimal cutting performance on aluminum and steel components.
• Broad CNC Knowledge:  Experience with other CNC machinery such as mills and lathes is an asset, but proficiency in laser cutting is essential. Familiarity with G-code and CAD/CAM software is expected.
• Hands-on Fabrication:  Assist in the assembly and prototyping of custom machinery used in tank processing and handling systems.
• Sheet Metal & Metalworking Skills:  Experience with bending, forming, punching, or straightening sheet metal. Comfort working with both light and heavy gauge materials.
• Welding Abilities:  MIG, TIG, and pulse welding experience are considered strong assets but not required.
• Creative Problem-Solving:  Ability to think critically, iterate on designs, and collaborate with the R&D team to develop effective solutions for unique fabrication challenges.

Schedule:

• Day Shifts - starting at 7am or 8am
• Monday - Friday
• 8 hour days
• Overtime as needed
