Logistics Coordinator


As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics operations, including the coordination of shipments, inventory movement, and order fulfillment. This role ensures that products are shipped, received, and distributed efficiently and accurately while maintaining cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction. The Logistics Coordinator serves as the key point of contact between suppliers, carriers, internal departments, and customers to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Shipping & Transportation:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of hardware materials, tools, and components.
  • Schedule and track deliveries with freight carriers and transport partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork
  • Monitor freight costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize transportation expenses.
  • Handle delivery discrepancies, delays, and damaged shipments promptly.

Inventory & Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee inventory movement between suppliers, warehouses, and customer locations.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and conduct periodic stock counts.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper handling and storage of heavy or fragile hardware materials.

Procurement & Order Coordination:

  • Work with purchasing and sales departments to align shipping schedules with customer orders and supplier deliveries.
  • Verify order details, quantities, and product specifications before shipment.
  • Communicate any backorders, stock shortages, or delays to relevant departments and customers.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with safety, transportation, and import/export regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date shipping and inventory records in ERP or logistics management systems.
  • Prepare and analyze logistics reports, including freight costs, delivery performance, and inventory accuracy.


Key Attributes:

  • 3 plus years of experience working as a freight forwarder is a strong requirement
  • Other relevant logistics industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of transportation, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Being a part of a team philosophy of engagement by working with the team to achieve company targets and objectives
  • Ability to effectively work with colleagues from all departments: sales, marketing, purchasing, accounting


Skills/Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to team and customer interactions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • High level of initiative, accountability, and adaptability
  • Experience with furniture or architectural hardware is an asset
