We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying orders, preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages are dispatched correctly and on time. A thorough understanding of shipping procedures, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Verify orders against shipping documentation.
- Create and affix shipping labels and necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Inspect outgoing packages for proper sealing and labeling.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stockroom organization as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar role.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
