Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Generate shipping labels and documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms.
- Verify shipment details against order information.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing packages for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar shipping/logistics role.
- Proficiency in shipping software and WMS.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with shipping carrier requirements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and using PPE.
