Our growing distribution center in Austin, Texas is looking for a sharp Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain our vast inventory. This position is essential for ensuring the accuracy of our stock, which directly impacts our ability to fulfill customer orders efficiently. You will perform detailed inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement robust inventory control measures. Your role contributes significantly to the overall success and optimization of our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventories.
- Analyze and resolve all inventory variances promptly.
- Update and maintain inventory data within our WMS accurately.
- Develop and implement effective inventory management policies.
- Track and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline inventory processes.
- Oversee stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
- Support the continuous improvement of inventory control systems.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize required PPE and follow all operational safety protocols during all tasks, including those requiring lifting up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Knowledge of inventory control software and techniques.
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving aptitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Excel.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain logistics .
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment by using PPE and following safety guidelines.
- Capability to handle tasks involving regular lifting .
